1. Download the App
Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Download the Medea Vodka app.
2. Getting Started with the App
Open the app and tap “Get Started.”
Follow the on-screen prompts.
Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
When ready, tap “I’m Ready.”
3. Choose How to Connect
Select one of the two connection options:
A. “I Have a Bottle Nearby”
Follow the prompts: Turn on your Medea Vodka bottle.
The app will automatically begin searching for your bottle.
“Great, All Done will appear” once your bottle has successfully connected.
B. “I Have a Code From a Friend”
Enter the code manually or scan the QR code your friend shared.
This will allow you to access their bottle and interact with it.
4. Complete the Connection
Once paired, you’ll see “Great, All Done!”
Your bottle is now successfully connected to the app.
Manage Your Bottle & Messages
Manage Your Bottle
Go to “Manage Your Bottle” in the app.
Edit or Create Messages
Tap “Edit.”
Select “Add New” to create a custom message,
or choose from the six pre-filled messages.
Tap “Save.”
Your award-winning MEDEA vodka bottle is pre-programmed with six often-used greetings to make it easy for you to gift:
Happy Birthday
Happy Anniversary
Congratulations
Merry Christmas
Happy New Year
I Love You
To choose one of these pre-programmed greetings, turn on the bottle by pressing the ON/OFF button on the upper left side of the LED band. Press the UP button on the upper right side of the LED band, to select one of the pre-programmed slogans.
To personalize a message tap the Enter button, then press Enter again to access program mode. You will see the letter, “A”. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to find the first character of your message; press ENTER to save each character selection. Note, the space key is before the letter “A.” To delete a letter, hold ENTER for three seconds.
To finish: after you have selected the last character of your word, hold the UP button for three seconds and the message will begin to scroll. If you do not press any button for six seconds, the setting will automatically be saved. In addition to the English alphabet of A – Z, the numbers 0-9 are available for your use.
Message will scroll for 45 minutes, then automatically shut off to conserve the battery, which can last up to 20 hours.
Other Features
Share by Code
The app will generate a unique shareable code so a friend can access your bottle
and create or change messages on it.
Invite by SMS
Send an SMS invitation directly from the app.
Your friend can set a new message on your bottle simply by replying to the text message.
Reset Bottle
If your bottle has been used by someone else or you want to clear all settings:
Press and hold the On/Off button and the Message button together for 5 seconds to fully reset the bottle.
Note: To power down press the ON/OFF button until it reads MEDEA OFF. If left on, the message will scroll for 45 minutes and automatically turn off. The LED display can last approximately 20 hours.
